How this simulator works

Real-feeling, honestly fake.

We built this so you can learn the muscle memory of a trading screen — pairs, order books, charts, limit vs market orders — without a penny at stake. Here's exactly what's real and what's simulated, because transparency matters more than illusion.

📡

Real prices in one call

Live prices load automatically when the page opens — a single CoinGecko request pulls all of the top 200 coins with real prices, 24h stats and 7-day charts. No constant background polling and no hardcoded numbers, so the API is barely touched and nothing fake is ever shown.

🎬

Showtime FX is opt-in

Flip on Showtime FX and the screen comes alive: fast simulated price action, a whale-alert tape, breaking-news pops and a reacting chat. It's generated locally for entertainment — clearly labelled, and off by default so the real data stays accurate.

🧪

Pretend balances only

You start with demo USDT and can place limit or market orders that fill against the simulated book. Nothing connects to a wallet, an exchange, or a bank. Hit Reset demo anytime to start fresh.

This page comes from the team behind Luck.fyi, the same people building transparent, provably-fair tools and games. The whole point of a practice mode is to remove the most expensive way people learn to trade — losing real money while figuring out which button does what.

The important part

Risk & reality check.

Please read before you ever trade for real

This is not a real exchange and not financial advice. It accepts no money, holds no funds, and executes no real trades. It exists for education and entertainment only. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.

Real crypto trading is high risk. Prices are extremely volatile, can move violently in seconds, and assets can lose most or all of their value. A large share of retail traders lose money — and leverage, which this demo doesn't even simulate, makes that far worse. Practising here will not make you immune to those risks.

The numbers here are not trustworthy for decisions. Starting prices are a delayed snapshot, and all live movement, depth, and trades are simulated. Do not use anything on this page to time, value, or justify a real trade.

If you do trade for real: use a licensed, regulated exchange appropriate to your country, enable strong security, understand fees and tax, beware of scams and "guaranteed return" schemes, and never risk money you can't afford to lose. When in doubt, speak to a qualified, regulated financial professional.

Questions, answered

Demo exchange FAQ.

Is this a real crypto exchange?
No. It's a free trading simulator for learning and entertainment. It doesn't hold funds, connect to any exchange, or place real orders. All balances are pretend demo credits — nothing is ever bought, sold, deposited, or withdrawn.
Are the prices real?
Yes — when the page loads, a single request pulls real CoinGecko data (prices, 24h stats, 7-day charts) for the top 200 coins. There are no hardcoded or placeholder prices: if it can't load, prices just show as unavailable and you can tap Refresh to retry. The order book and recent trades are indicative (no free real-time depth feed). Showtime FX simulates movement, whale alerts and news for fun — clearly labelled. Don't rely on simulated numbers for real decisions.
Can I make or lose real money here?
No. There's no real money at any point — you can't deposit, withdraw, win, or lose anything. It's purely a risk-free way to practise navigating a trading interface.
Why simulate the order book and live prices?
Streaming truly live data would need constant requests that quickly hit rate limits and break the page. Sampling once and simulating the live behaviour keeps it fast and reliable — and it's clearly labelled as a simulation throughout.
Is using a real exchange risky?
Yes — real crypto trading is high risk and volatile, and many retail traders lose money. Nothing here is financial advice. If you trade for real, use a licensed, regulated platform, understand the risks, and never trade money you can't afford to lose.
