How it works

Accurate inputs, honest outputs

Every number here is either maths you can check by hand or live data from a named public source. We never invent figures.

📡

Named live sources

Conversion and unit prices use the CoinGecko exchange-rate and market APIs, the halving height comes from mempool.space, and sentiment from the Alternative.me Fear & Greed Index. If a source cannot load, the tool says so.

🧮

Transparent maths

The profit, average-cost and market-cap tools are plain arithmetic — invested versus returned, weighted averages, and target cap divided by supply. Check any result yourself; nothing is hidden.

🔌

Works offline

The calculators need no connection at all — only the converter, units, halving and sentiment tools call the network, and only when you ask them to.

Reference tools — not financial advice

Nothing here is financial, investment or tax advice. These are calculators and reference tools. Crypto is highly volatile, and every output is an estimate based on the figures you enter and public market data that can change by the second.

Real fees and rates vary. Exchanges charge different fees and spreads than the simple percentages used here, and live rates differ between providers. Treat conversions and profit figures as close approximations, not exact quotes.

The halving date is an estimate. It is calculated from the current block height assuming roughly ten-minute blocks. Actual timing drifts with network hash rate, so the countdown will shift over time.

"What if" and sentiment are not predictions. A market-cap target shows a hypothetical price for a given valuation — it is not a forecast that a coin will reach it. The Fear & Greed Index reflects crowd emotion, not value, and is not a signal to buy or sell. Always do your own research.

Questions, answered

Crypto tools FAQ

How does the crypto converter work and where do the rates come from?
It converts between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies using live exchange rates from the public CoinGecko API. Every amount is bridged through Bitcoin internally, so any supported coin or currency can convert to any other. Rates load on demand and are never invented; if they cannot load, the tool says so.
When is the next Bitcoin halving?
Bitcoin halves the mining reward every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years. The last halving was in April 2024 at block 840,000, cutting the reward to 3.125 BTC. The next is at block 1,050,000, expected around 2028. Because block times vary, the exact date is an estimate, which this page calculates live from the current block height.
What is a satoshi?
A satoshi is the smallest unit of Bitcoin: one bitcoin equals 100,000,000 satoshis. The unit converter shows any amount across BTC, mBTC, bits, satoshis and your chosen fiat value.
What is the Crypto Fear & Greed Index?
A sentiment gauge from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed) that summarises market mood from volatility, momentum, social media and other signals. It reflects emotion, not value, and is not a buy or sell signal. The data comes from the public Alternative.me index.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. These are calculators and reference tools only. Outputs are estimates based on what you enter and public market data, and crypto is highly volatile. Nothing here is financial, investment or tax advice — always do your own research.
